News: Polit Finance is a new student organization!

September 2022

In September 2022 Polit Finance was created by our steering comitee:
Anders Dixen Munck and Kristian Krogh

Where did the inspiration come from?

Polit Finance was inspired by the vibrant culture of student societies and clubs at universities in the UK and US. In these countries, students have access to a wide range of societies that cater to diverse interests. In contrast, while there are some excellent societies at Polit, the supply is limited, and I felt that there was an opportunity to create a new platform for like-minded students.

Keeping this in mind, we established Polit Finance as a platform for students who possess a keen interest in finance and its associated domains, to foster connections, acquire knowledge, and cultivate personal and professional growth.

Who is the target group?

Our target audience is economics students who are interested in finance. We recognise that the curriculum for economics students, especially at the bachelor’s level, may not provide significant exposure to finance.

Hence, the objective of our society is to augment the comprehension of finance and the wide-ranging career prospects accessible in this field for students with a background in economics. While our activities are customized for economics students, we extend an invitation to students from all faculties and academic levels who are interested in finance and aspire to expand their knowledge of the subject.

What is the goal?

Through a range of workshops, keynotes, and networking events, we aim to cultivate a community of students passionate about finance, while also creating opportunities for members to interact with professionals in the industry and gain valuable insights into potential career paths.
